Rishabh Pant to captain LSG in IPL 2025
Rishabh Pant, Lucknow Super Giants's INR 27 Cr. buy at the auction, has officially been named the captain for the upcoming season, and probably more. He'll take over from KL Rahul who led LSG to two Playoffs in his three years of leadership.

IPL 2025 Dates are out!
The IPL 2025 is scheduled to commence from March 21 and will conclude on May 25, with Eden Gardens, Kolkata set to host both the matches. This edition will have 74 matches again and not the 84 as was stated in the contract before selling the media rights ahead of the IPL 2022.
Along with the opener and final games, Eden Gardens will also host the Qualifier 2, while the Eliminator and Qualifier 1 will be played in Hyderabad.
The complete schedule of IPL 2025 is yet to be announced.
Shreyas Iyer appointed as captain of Punjab Kings
Shreyas Iyer has been made the captain of Punjab Kings for the IPL 2025. He was bought for 26.75 crore at the mega auction and with his proven leadership abilities, has been given the responsibility of taking Punjab Kings to their first ever playoffs since 2014.
Iyer led the Kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai to title victories in IPL 2024 and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2024 respectectively. He will join hands with Ricky Ponting, the coach, again after spending years with him at the Delhi Capitals. Both together took DC to three consecutive playoffs from 2018 to 2020, with 2020 being their best performance—finishing up as runner ups.
