This series is beautifully poised now for the next three games. Both India and Australia have won one each and the coming venues will provide both of them opportunities to add to their winning or make a comeback if they are behind.

Australia though would go into the third test with some positives. Marnus finding back his rhythm, Meanwhile, India will have to rethink their playing XI, and most importantly, their batting. Will there be questions about Rohit's captaincy? The way the first two tests have panned out, such thoughts will definitely surface and might even plague the minds of the Indian contingent, including Rohit. What is the answer then? We'll have to wait for the Gabba, Brisbane Test to see how things unfold. But one thing is clear, the coming month will be a defining moment in both teams' history.

The third test starts on 14th December at 05:50 am IST. Don't forget to tune in!

Where did India lose the game?

In the first innings when Starc used the pink ball to its best against India's run accumulators and Cummins' dismissal of Rishabh Pant with a snorter of a delivery. A couple of partnerships in that period could have taken India to 260-270, which may have proved very competitive.

Australia wins the second Test by 10 wickets, leveling the series 1-1!

It didn't last long on the 3rd day as India got bowled out for only 175 runs in the first hour itself, setting Australia a mere target of 19 runs, which they chased down without losing a wicket. Pat Cummins picked up a fifer and with that Australia extended their unbeatable run in pink ball tests at Adelaide to 8-0. Nitish Reddy was again impressive with bat and he might as well be making a case for permanent number 6 for India.

End of play on Day 2! Another session and another day in which Australia have asserted their dominance in this test match. Indian batters, much like the first innings, showed promise but didn't capitalize on their innings. Australia are in pole position as India ended the day at 128/5 and still trailing by 29 runs.

December 07, 02:46 PM IST

End of Australia's first inning. They finish at 337 on the back of a terrific 140 from Travis Head and 64 from Manus Labushagne. Bumrah and Siraj for India took 4 wickets apiece. It's a decent score but India's poor batting in the first inning means they will start their second being 157 runs behind. The pitch is still favorable for batting, but as evident till now, the new ball does a lot and so, for both teams, the early part of India's second innings will be crucial. India would need to score in excess of 300 to have a chance in this game.

A comeback of sorts for Australia after being humbled in the first test. They reduced India to 180 in the first innings on the back of Starc's 6-48, and now are 86/1 at the end of play on Day 1. Nathan McSweeney (38*) and Marnus Labushagne (20*) are at the crease and Australia look set to take a hefty lead from here.
